Abstract

To prevent the armature from sticking to the electromagnetic yoke as a result of residual magnetism, one of these parts is plasma spray coated. The coating used is a nickel/aluminum layer followed by a TiO(2) layer which is subject to wear. It is also possible to use tungsten carbide, chromium carbon or titanium dioxide layers which are applied by flame plating.
