Abstract

Small terminals such as those used in the retail trade often require specialized displays which project from the basic unit. To facilitate shipment, these displays are shipped in an unassembled condition and heretofore required removal of the machine covers, cable connectors and attachment of mounting hardware. This mount consists of two tubes, a female tube 1 assembled inside the unit at the time of manufacture and a male tube assembled to auxiliary display. All cables 2 are connected at the time of manufacture. Customer installation involves only inserting the male tube of the auxiliary display into the female tube at the top of the unit. The male tube has two molded-in spring tabs 3 which snap into the bottom of the female tube to prevent removal after assembly.
