Global Simplification of Controls for Input Gating in Latches

In many types of logic circuits, dual-rail inputs (true and complement signals) are required for reset and set of latches. This typically requires an increase in hardware expenditure which is sometimes over-weighed by the savings obtainable in the case of shift registers where many bits share the same pair of control signals. However, it is desirable if such increased control signal provision can be avoided. The arrangement described here makes the provision of individual control signals in a double rail unnecessary, thus allowing the controls for the input gating in all storage latches in a circuit processor to be simplified.
