The encryption of data in a loop memory may easily be accomplished by using a security code to control the offset of the data starting point from the starting point of the loop memory. The data may be transmitted to a similar memory using a starting point which is offset from the normal memory starting point. As the offset data starting point is unknown to a listener, the offset has the effect of mixing the data and thereby encrypting it.
