Abstract

Without any moving parts, the device 10, illustrated in the drawing, automatically controls the fluid level in, for example, the bubble catcher of a recirculating ink system for an ink jet printer. It should be recognized that the device has application to other forms of supply tanks, such as those not utilizing recirculation, and the proper operation of the device does not require that the tank be air tight. Moreover, as will be obvious from the following description, the device also has application to other fluids, such as oils, gasoline, solvents etc.
