When considering a large interconnection of separately large resistive networks, it is desirable to reduce such networks at each interconnection step to a smaller size, retaining only those elements or nodes which are necessary for connection to other portions of the composite network. Such an operation is achieved quickly and efficiently by the following procedure to reduce the machine storage capacity and the time required to analyze the final structure.
