Square Wave To Sine Wave Converter

This article describes a circuit to generate a low distortion sine wave The sine wave is locked in phase to a square-wave input. An intermediate triangular wave is constructed by switching a regulated current in and out of a capacitor. The triangular wave is fed into a differential pair amplifier with emitter degeneration. The differential pair amplifier shapes the triangular signal into the precise sine wave. The circuit is independent of temperature variations.
