Abstract

As seen in Fig. 1, a pole 10 is part of the magnetic stator of an electromagnetic actuator of a print hammer. Armature 11 is part of or connected to an impact element of the print hammer. Operating coil 12 is wound on a conductive bobbin 13. Induced eddy currents in the conductive bobbin 13 generate secondary flux which varies with temperature, thus compensating for temperature-caused flight time variations.
