Currentless Switch and One Way Propagation Track for Contiguous Disk Bubble Devices

It has been observed that bubbles propagating along a narrow (1.5 mu m) ion-implanted 'channel', oriented such that propagation is parallel to an easy stripeout direction, may be reliably switched from one side of the channel to the other by reversing the sense of rotation of the in-plane field. The bubbles continue propagating in the same direction on the other side of the channel.
