Concept Search - What can I type?
For a concept search, you can enter phrases, sentences, or full paragraphs in English. For example, copy and paste the abstract of a patent application or paragraphs from an article.
Concept search eliminates the need for complex Boolean syntax to inform retrieval. Our Semantic Gist engine uses advanced cognitive semantic analysis to extract the meaning of data. This reduces the chances of missing valuable information, that may result from traditional keyword searching.

Shown and described is an assembly which provides variable or adjustable
shaft diameter in order to permit line-to-line or interference fits between shafts
and their arbors.
Each of the rings is tapered: the female 1 on the inner diameter, and the
male 2 on the outer diameter. The rings are also slotted axially so that when a
male ring is forced into a female, the male decreases in diameter and the female
increases. Retainers 3 at each end assure that when end clamp 4 is tightened,
axial force is transmitted which urges male and female rings 1 and 2 into contact.
When this ring assembly, located on shaft 5, is placed inside the inner race of
bearing 6 and tightened, female ring 1 grips bearing 6 and male rings 2 grip shaft 5.
