Concept Search - What can I type?
For a concept search, you can enter phrases, sentences, or full paragraphs in English. For example, copy and paste the abstract of a patent application or paragraphs from an article.
Concept search eliminates the need for complex Boolean syntax to inform retrieval. Our Semantic Gist engine uses advanced cognitive semantic analysis to extract the meaning of data. This reduces the chances of missing valuable information, that may result from traditional keyword searching.

Pre-Aligned Lens Mounting Assembly
A lens-mount casting assembly permits relatively simple pre-alignment
procedures for location of the lens so that it can be installed with minimal
additional adjustment requirements.
Plastic casting assembly 10 having legs 11, 12 and 13 is arranged to align
with mounting rails shown schematically at 15 and 16, so that the assembly can
be placed in alignment with a reference edge 18. Leg 13 terminates with a strap
assembly 14 for retention to rail 16, with legs 11 and 12 being slidable on rail 15.
Lens 20, shown as a reflector or half lens, is positioned in holder casting 22 and
adjusted such that its total conjugate length, magnification, resolution, and image
position specifications are met prior to mounting in a machine. When assemble
10 is positioned in the machine at a constant reference edge corresponding to
reference edge 18, the lens 20 is substantially adjusted.
Retention of lens 20 in position is assured by a sealing arrangement shown in
Fig. 2. Lens holder casting 22 has an inwardly directed lip 25, along with a series
of spaced wedge shaped injection holes 26 and setscrew holes 27. Lip 25
deforms outwardly when housing 30 containing lens 20 is forced into housing 22.
As shown, three setscrews 32 within holes 27 retain housing 30 in its adjusted
location. A sealant 33, such as RTV, is introduced through one or more holes 26. After sealant 33 has cured, some positional tilting is still possible, since lip 25
