Small mating connectors are reliably joined and maintained in contact, yet can be easily disconnected, through the use of O-rings in a support block. Referring to the figure, support block 1 is provided with openings 2 for respective connector elements 3. Each opening is intersected by a pair of slots 4 in which are inserted conventional O-rings 5 of the required inside diameter. Each connector element has an annular recess 6. The slots with inserted O-rings are spaced from each other axially along the connector opening to correspond with the respective annular recesses when the connectors are joined within the block. The O-rings readily expand to allow insertion and removal of either connector element.
