Partitioned data set (library) is shared by two or more data processing systems each having its own in-core index of the partitioned data set. The directory of this partitioned data set is in alphameric order. There are two access types: o read access (fetch one or more members of the partitioned data set) o write access (add, delete, or rename members of the partitioned data set)
