Abstract

In high speed ink jet printers because of paper feed rollers and the like, it is preferable that either the ink formulation be especially treated so as to enhance the drying time or that the paper be treated to enhance the drying time. This article describes a technique for decreasing the drying time of an ink utilized in an electrostatically deflected jet printer by treating the document paper.
