Flow Interrupt Detection Scheme

This arrangement detects the loss of fluid flow in multiple loops from a single supply manifold 10 in a cooling system using a single differential pressure switch 12. For example, the arrangement is used to detect the loss of coolant flow in the loops from the cooling distribution unit to the circuit modules and to the power regulators. To accomplish this with a minimum number of sensing devices, the scheme in Figs. 1 and 2 transmits the highest loop pressure through a series of shuttle valves 14 to the low pressure port 16 of the differential pressure switch 12. Fig. 2 is a bottom view taken along the line 2-2 of Fig. 1 showing the loops and a schematic representation of the shuttle valves 14 in the loops.
