Electroplating of wires is widely used industrially, for example, for preparation of cylindrical magnetic films (which can serve as elements in memory and storage devices). A main problem during plating the wires is non-uniformity of the deposited films. This non-uniformity displays itself in fluctuations of physical (e.g., magnetic and/or electrical) and mechanical properties of the film along the wire length and over the film thickness.
