In the fabrication of printed circuit boards, one rather difficult step involves removal of the protective coating material, used to protect designated board areas during circuit personalization which contaminates the plated through hole areas. It is necessary that this be satisfactorily accomplished in order to facilitate and enable subsequent solder flow into and through the plated holes.
