This transformation array enables the rotation of a digital data matrix in 90-degree increments, and can provide either the real or mirror image of the rotated data as an output. The transformation array operates on a square matrix. Fig. 1 shows the matrix transformations that the transformation array can accomplish. The figure shows the orientation before and after the data is passed through the array. The letters A, B, C, and D represent the corner bits of the input matrix.
