Rotation Selection Mechanism for Single Element Typewriter

In order to maintain positive control of the direction of rotation selection in a single-element typewriter, it is preferable that the change in direction of the rotation be positively actuated so as to avoid any "slop" or play in the system. Such a system for selection is illustrated in Figs. 1-3, Fig. 1 being an exploded view of the mechanism.
