When testing automated test equipment to generate requests and check responses of multiple simulated terminals (connected to a computer system or subsystem under test), it is often necessary to specify that the operations to be performed on some simulated terminals are dependent upon operations performed at other simulated terminals, for example, if one terminal is to update a document previously generated by another terminal, or if only one terminal can have access to a particular system function at one time. The method in this article allows these dependencies and many other functions to be simply specified and implemented.
