Generalized Markup Integrates Automatically Generated Reports with a Text Processing System
Original Publication Date: 1980-Apr-01
Included in the Prior Art Database: 2005-Feb-13
In the past, reports generated from machine-readable data have been formatted immediately for printing, and contain the usual characteristics such as page headings and footings, page numbering, and a fixed page layout. Combining such reports with other information prepared using a text processing system such as DCF or ATMS-II was a laborious process of cut-and-paste to obtain camera copy suitable for publication.
