Conventional band-gap circuits can provide a zero temperature coefficient reference voltage only for a voltage value equal to twice the built-in junction voltage. The modified reference circuit shown in the drawing can produce a zero temperature coefficient reference voltage at values not limited to twice the built-in junction voltage of the transistors used.
