Concept Search - What can I type?
For a concept search, you can enter phrases, sentences, or full paragraphs in English. For example, copy and paste the abstract of a patent application or paragraphs from an article.
Concept search eliminates the need for complex Boolean syntax to inform retrieval. Our Semantic Gist engine uses advanced cognitive semantic analysis to extract the meaning of data. This reduces the chances of missing valuable information, that may result from traditional keyword searching.

Automatic Erase Mirror
This article describes a system for edge and interimage erase in a copier
using fixed fiber-optic scanning and feed-through document handling.
In the figure, a prism-type mirror insert 1 in molded paper guide 2 is
positioned in such a way that light from source lamps 3 is reflected into a
SELFOC* fiber-optic lens array 4 whenever light is not blocked by a document.
This results in the discharge of photoconductor 5 ahead of and behind the
electrostatic image of document 6 being copied as well as along both edges.
Proper erase occurs regardless of the size, of the document. Therefore, edge
erase, interimage erase and preclean erase in a two-cycle process are all
accomplished with this single method.
