The accompanying drawing is a schematic illustration of a conventional electrophotographic printer with an ion writing station 10. The Combination (that is, the electrophotographic printer and the ion writing station) may be adopted for printing composite records. By way of example, one source of the information may be from a fixed or constant source, while the other source of the information may be from a variable means such as a computer. The electrophotographic printer is logically divided into a plurality of subsystems, each of which perform a specified function in the overall printing process.
