Improved Cleaning in a Xerographic Copier

In some electrophotostatic copiers a pre-clean corona having a polarity opposite from that of the charging corona is used to ensure that the toner entering the electrostatic cleaning station has the correct polarity. In this mode of operation, however, the cleaning station fails to clean the image completely from the photoconductor during one cleaning cycle. In the multi-copy mode, this is a problem only after the last image.
