Abstract

This multimode carriage control is a system capable of providing consistent and reliable stepper motor control to meet variable motor advance requirements. Three run modes are utilized to achieve these requirements: Single Step for 1, 2 and 3 step moves, Low Speed Delayed Closed Loop of 4 through 12 steps, and High Speed Delayed Closed Loop of 13 through N steps.
