A method is described for updating the proper routing tables in a network when a new node is connected to the network by a single link. The generation is distributed and dynamic. From the point of view of the network, the new node is treated as "end node" (i.e., it does not serve as an intermediate node of message store and forwarding). However, this capability must be possessed by the node to which the new node is connected.
