The automatic winding of cores in the production of motors, particularly motor stators, through automatic winding equipment is well known. In the conventional manner, motors are usually wound one pole at a time. In accordance with the present apparatus, a plurality of poles may be wound simultaneously. The figures show equipment adapted to automatically wind three poles at a time. Fig. 1 is a diagrammatic plan view of a three-station automatic core winder with only one station shown in detail. Fig. 2 is a partial sectional view of Fig. 1 taken along line AA-AA. Fig. 3 is a plan view showing the cam surface and a cam follower in greater detail.
