Embedded Low Value Resistor on Logic Masterslice

Conventional transistor-transistor logic (T/2/L) masterslice images use high value ion-implant resistors of the order of 10K ohms. When converting this image by metal personalization to other macros (e.g., memory cells), a limiting factor is not having low value resistors (e.g., - 1K ohms). To obtain these resistor values by paralleling the existing (high value) resistors, it costs silicon area. Alternatively, a low value resistor designed into the logic cell image also costs silicon area.
