Conventional processors consisting of several chips are provided with a central control store. This central control store is addressed by an address register of the processor, and its output data (control information) is read into an operation register, whence the coded or uncoded bits of the operation code of the microinstruction together with the time control signals are distributed to the data flow of the processor.
