Concept Search - What can I type?
For a concept search, you can enter phrases, sentences, or full paragraphs in English. For example, copy and paste the abstract of a patent application or paragraphs from an article.
Concept search eliminates the need for complex Boolean syntax to inform retrieval. Our Semantic Gist engine uses advanced cognitive semantic analysis to extract the meaning of data. This reduces the chances of missing valuable information, that may result from traditional keyword searching.

Pre Buckle Forming Back Up Plate for Supply Cassette
Reliable corner buckle feeding from a paper supply cassette is improved by
a curved back-up plate for preventing the formation of reverse buckles in copy
Supply cassette 10 contains a stack of sheets 11 to be individually fed by
picker roller 12 through conventional corner buckling (i.e., by forcing them
against corner tabs 13). Ideally, each sheet should form an outwardly directed
buckle, as indicated at 14, prior to being released from the corner tabs and
received by other apparatus (not shown). If for any reason the sheet attempts to
assume a reverse buckle, oppositely directed from 14, the stiffness of the paper
prevents it from leaving cassette 10, thus causing a misfeed.
Back-up plate 15 hinged at 16, and normally biased in an upward direction
(by means not shown), has the leading edge 17 bent downwardly so that the
bend area 18 causes stack 11 to be predisposed in the proper buckling
orientation prior to feeding by roll 12.
An alternate arrangement is shown in Figs. 2 and 3, wherein floor plate 20
has leading edge corners 21 and 22 bent downwardly along lines 23 and 24 to
provide a similar pre-buckle function to sheet stacks. Thus, when the pick-up
rollers which overlie back-up pads 25 and 26 press downwardly on the sheet
stack on back-up plate 20, the sheet stack will be folded in the proper general
direction beneath the corner tabs, thereby predisposing buckling of the top sheet
in the proper d...
