This article describes a simple push to lock-push to unlock latch through
which two members may be readily latched along a common access in a
coupling which is readily latched and unlatched.
The housing of female elements 10 has entrance channels 12 and restricted
channels 13. Entrance channels 12 are used to guide male attachment tenons
14 and 15. The restricted channels 13 prevent the escapement of male
attachment tenons 14 and 15 when received within female housing 11. A spring-
loaded plunger 16 is in the base of the female housing 11. This provides
consistent pressure against the male element during entrance, attachment and
