High Precision Voltage Reference Integrated Circuit

One problem preventing integration of high precision circuits into a common bipolar technology environment is the lack of a high precision voltage reference which will operate from a 5-volt, (+/- 10 percent) power supply, and use only NPN transistors and P+ resistors. For example, the implementation of an integrated silicon temperature sensor, and other applications, requires a highly regulated reference for temperature detection accuracy and digital output circuit design.
