As shown in the drawing, a propagation pattern 10 for contiguous-disk bubble devices consists of rows or tracks 12 and 14 of contiguous triangular elements 16 and 18 having equal sides that overlap. The elements 16 and 18 have trigonal symmetry as do the ion-implanted regions 20 between rows 12 and 14.
