Abstract

Tunneling hot electron transfer amplifiers, known in the art by the acronym THETA, may be improved by providing a hot electron beam by tunneling in a Schottky barrier electrode and a metal-oxide-metal (MOM) collector. The structure provides a monoenergetic current distribution.
