Concept Search - What can I type?
For a concept search, you can enter phrases, sentences, or full paragraphs in English. For example, copy and paste the abstract of a patent application or paragraphs from an article.
Concept search eliminates the need for complex Boolean syntax to inform retrieval. Our Semantic Gist engine uses advanced cognitive semantic analysis to extract the meaning of data. This reduces the chances of missing valuable information, that may result from traditional keyword searching.

Multiple Grid Voltage Supply using Zener Diode Regulation
Corona grid current is driven from corona current and is regulated by Zener
diodes arranged in a compact package within the corona housing.
In the schematic diagram of Fig. 1, current supplied to negative corona grid
10 drives the positive corona grid 12 to the desired negative voltage. The
voltage of negative corona grid 10 is controlled and regulated by the string of
three Zener diodes 15, 16 and 17, in the example shown, but it will be recognized
that a different number of diodes can be used. The negative voltage on grid 12 is
controlled by the Zener voltage developed by the diodes between node 18 and
ground. Corona wires 20 and 21 are connected to a negative voltage source (not
shown), while corona wire 25 is connected to a positive voltage source (not
shown). That is, the negative power for corona wires 20 and 21 is coupled
through edge connectors 30 and 31, whereas the positive voltage is applied to
emission wire 25 through edge connector 32 (Fig. 2).
The Zener diode array can be packaged in a multiple bay corona housing 33
so as to eliminate the need for additional cabling and connectors. Grid 10 is
formed with a conductive edge connected to one end of Zener diode 15 which is
mounted on an insulator board nestled within the end cavity of corona housing 33. Similarly, Zener diode 16 is connected to the conductive edge of grid 12 and
commonly connected to the opposite end of Zener diode 15 through con...
