A system is provided for heating sensitive liquids via heat transfer through the walls of a tank from resistance heaters external to and in contact with the tank. This is achieved through a knitted wire mesh interposed between an inner glass tank and an adjustable external metal wall having the resistance heaters mounted on the outer surface thereof.
