The keyboard shown in the figure is small, easy to learn, and has the potential for high typing speed. It also provides a large number of chords available for special purposes. The keyboard uses both hands with the four fingers of each hand resting on individual keys (2 through 5 in the figure). The fingers are not moved to other keys during operation. The thumb of each hand may press one of three key positions.
