From storage tank 1, the toner is fed by two magnetic rolls 2 and 3 and a guide plate 4 to magnetic drum 5. A uniform toner density at magnetic drum 5 is obtained by dividing toner channel 6 by a separator 7. Thus, there is a lower toner supply portion 8 and an upper portion 9 which is used to return excess toner to storage tank 1. As the toner particles are continuously agitated, there is no increase in toner density and/or compression.
