Abstract

Software of various products can be tested by the ATS. This automatically applies test cases to a product and monitors the responses from the product to make sure it has the same response in one version of software compared to another. (Image Omitted) The ATS hardware at a test station includes a Personal Computer (PC) 1 (Fig. 1), which includes an expansion chassis, having several cards that drive and monitor data over a Software Test Interface and Controller (STIC) cable 2 to a driver box 3. The driver box 3 is connected with a product 4, which is under test. The PC 1 also has a PC 3278 card for mainframe communication with a mainframe computer so that the PC 1 functions as a terminal for the mainframe computer at certain times through a line 5.
