Method to List the Current Active Adjacent Link Station List in a Communication System

Current PC communication systems have no method for listing the adjacent links on a display. In accordance with the new method, the Subsystem Management program through the SNA communication system now displays the menu panel Display Active Adjacent Link Station (ALS) List, as shown in the figure. Adjacent links are listed with the following data: Data Link Control type, Adapter number, Destination address, Started by, ALS status and active sessions. This enables the user to check on performance and configuration of the system through Subsystem Management. The panel shown in the figure is displayed as the result of the user choice of Display active ALS list from the Adjacent Link Station Operations Panel.
