Method for Activating and Deactivating All Defined Local Units/Local Units (Lu/Lu) Sessions in a Communication System

Present PC SNA communication systems allow the user the ability to take down or establish only one LU/LU session at a time. When a new configuration is needed, activating and deactivating the system communication sessions one at a time is exceptionally time consuming. In accordance with the new method, the activation and deactivation of a subset of sessions is made possible by the use of menus in Subsystem Management. The menu system allows an asterisk (*) to represent a set of names. (Image Omitted) The Session (LU/LU) Operations Panel is shown in Fig. 1. This panel is displayed as the result of the user choice of Session (LU/LU) services from the Subsystem Management main panel.
