A more reliable, low-cost paper feed that feeds all widths of paper and requires no paper elevator is shown in Figs. 1-5. The paper feed apparatus comprises a cone feed roller, a single corner-buckler and a cam wherein the roller is lowered onto the paper stack for feeding and lifted at cycle home by a cam resting on the corner-buckler. (Image Omitted) A corner-buckler is employed with no external spring force, cam loaded against the paper at home to retain the stack, released to float while feeding so the top sheet can be buckled out and loaded again at cycle end to move the buckler down one sheet. The feed mechanism operates only on the front left corner of the paper so any length and width of paper can be fed. Also, the feed mechanism seeks the level of the stack so no stack elevator means is required. (Image Omitted) Fig.
