The system (Fig. 1) comprises a chassis 2, a container 1a, placeable thereon, for accommodating the circuit boards or panels 3 to be handled, and a gripper 4a for loading and unloading the container 1a. Chassis 2 may be an autoguided or a monorail system. It has a drive of its own and path control means. Index holes 5 serve to accurately (Image Omitted) adjust chassis 2 in its stop positions. Locking pins 6 are used to keep removable container 1a in place. Container 1a is loaded from the top. Inside container 1a, the vertically positioned panels 3 are guided and spaced by grooves 7 provided in the container sidewalls. Panels 3 may be removed either manually or mechanically by a gripper 4a. Container 1a has a detachable cover 8 and acts as a storage means and magazine. It may be easily removed.
