This method provides a mechanism for applications to drive a display (APA graphics display) with graphics constructs rendered in device coordinates, and utilize the same graphics constructs (commands) on a high resolution printer or plotter device with little or no change required to the constructs. The implementation converts 'N' coordinate groupings (two dimensions currently - with two ordinate and two abscissa specifications) to Normalized Device Coordinates (NDCs). This is done by processing the information provided in the array returned to "gspout" (an interface between GSL (Graphics Subroutine Library) graphics display and hard copy support) function at application initialization time.
