A design is described for a filter assembly and filter box which allows for a simple, effective replacement procedure for the ozone filter in a copier/printer. (Image Omitted) A four-part filter (charcoal, gasket, gauze, tape) normally requires close attention in assembly to avoid misalignment which would lead to undesirable ozone emission. The design described provides an aligned assembly in a direct, simple manner. Filter assembly 10 (Fig. 1) consists of a boxed charcoal filter 11, mating gauze 12 of a material such as polyester, and mating gasket 13 of a resilient material, such as cellulose urethane. Interposed between gasket 13 and gauze 12 are two pieces of release tape 14 (for example, spun-bonded polypropylene).
