Plastic Snap-In Hinge

A one-piece, inexpensive, molded plastic hinge includes two sets of aligned slot openings. These openings enable the hinge to be snap mounted onto the two container portions that are coupled together by the hinge. (Image Omitted) Fig. 1 shows an exploded view of the container comprising top and bottom portions 10 and 11. These two container portions are connected together by hinge 12. Both the top and the bottom portion of the container include a line of projecting tabs 13. Only the tabs of bottom portion 11 are shown in Fig. 1. Hinge 12 is provided with a hinge line 14 and two sets of aligned slot openings 15 and 16 located on opposite sides of hinge line 14 (four openings are shown for each set).
