This article describes an image process for generating a scaled, mirrored or inverted image of an original image based upon a list of run end addresses which are converted from run end addresses of the original image. Referring to the figure, an original image 1 of one pel (picture element) line is shown. In the original image 1, a first white run ends at a pel address 12, a first black run ends at a pel address 38, a second white run ends at a pel address 53, a second black run ends at a pel address 82, and a third white run ends at a pel address 100. To simplify the description, the one pel line is shown as having only 100 pel positions.
