Disclosed is a circuit to suppress transient voltage which is generated when a DC plug is plugged to a notebook PC. This transient is modeled by an L-C resonant circuit. Therefore the transient is dumped by a dumper resistor of the critical damping value. Combining this resistor and a DC block capacitor suppresses the transient without wasting power.
