Communication Method Through Integrated Services Digital Network

This article describes a communication method through an ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) wherein direct communications between user workstations are made for transmitting voice and cursor positioning data while image transmitted from a host computer is displayed on the user workstation. An interface of the ISDN 1 includes two information channels B and a channel D, as shown in a figure. The user workstations 2 and 3 are connected to reference points S/T. One of the information channels B is used for a voice communication between operators at the user workstations. The other information channel B is used for transmitting image data from a host computer to the user workstations 2 and 3 to display the image on each display unit of the user workstations 2 and 3.
